The table fountain commissioned by the Trustees and dedicated to the memory of Lady Henderson, who died in 2004, is a unique collaboration between the sculptor, Angela Conner and the silversmith, Richard Fox
The piece when closed presents an image of a flower bud
and like many of Angela Connor's works incorporates movement. The outer leaves of the sculpture open slowly to reveal a gilded globe, which contains the water that powers the movement. The sculpture stands on a large round basin with undulating edges.
