The collection of the Silver Trust comprises some 300 individual pieces and represents the work of a range of silversmiths, each of whom was chosen to produce work for the national collection based on their unique skills. The silversmiths have worked, and in most cases are still working, across the United Kingdom and use a whole range of techniques, from traditional hand-raising to computer aided laser cutting. Much besides silver is represented in the collection, such as fine examples of gold, lapidary work and enamel.
